PROVIDING SSOS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Join Sonoran Sky Opportunity to Serve (SSOS) to help make the holidays brighter for a family in need.
The SSOS Giving Tree will offer Sonoran Sky families the chance to “adopt” a child from Cactus View Elementary, our Title 1 sister school. We will provide new toys, books, and games for elementary-aged children, along with bridge boxes containing food to help their families get through the holiday break.
Starting Monday, November 14th, the Giving Tree will be growing in the lobby of Sonoran Sky. Pick an apple off the tree and sign up to participate in this chance to teach our kids about helping others.
On Saturday, December 10th, from 10am to noon, all Sonoran Sky students and families are invited to come and help make cards, wrap the gifts, and box the food donations for delivery to Cactus View.
Q: Why do pirates have such a hard time learning the alphabet?
A: Because they always get stuck at ‘c’!
Arrrr, that was a really bad joke. What isn’t a joke is our gratitude to all the volunteers and shoppers who sailed their ships through our Fall Scholastic Book Fair. Hearty thanks to our mateys, Book Fair Cap’ns Kat Nobeard and Spaghetti Legs Norton! It was fun, it was successful, and our bounty of over 3,500 books will be enjoyed by kids in every classroom!
Thus ends our bad pirate jokes and puns.
