A rag rug is made out old bed sheets. It’s a great and fun way to recycle and re-purpose! Rag rugs make great gifts! They’re great for the kitchen, laundry room, or right next to your bed so your feet don’t have to touch the cold floor in the morning. This class teaches students how to make a rag rug from scratch. They will begin the lesson by ripping old sheets into strips. They will then create the foundation of the rug (the warp). Once the warp is created students will begin the weaving process. Students will understand and master a basic weaving technique by weaving sheets together to create a rag rug. Students will be able to select the colors for their rag rug prior to starting the class. Each rug contains 4-5 colors.
This course is limited to 6 students.
