Wednesdays, 3:20 – 4:20pm; Grade: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th (younger grades may enroll with instructor approval)
Mrs. Courtad, STEM Lab 309
This class will focus on doing kind things for others in our local community. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Students will donate their time and talents to brighten up the lives of other people and even animals. We will focus on 7-8 hands on projects. Projects will include: painting kindness rocks, tying together fleece blankets for a local animal shelter, decorating cookies for the police department, making paper flowers for a nursing home, making bird feeders for our feathered friends, packing blessing bags for homeless people, writing/drawing sidewalk messages around the school, and making cards/treats for firefighters.
There will be specific times arranged to meet/deliver projects to the community. This is completely optional; students don’t need to participation in the delivery of items. Parents will need to transport their own children. For example, we may plan to meet at a local animal shelter to donate fleece blankets.
Cost: $145.00; 10 weeks: 2/5/20 – 4/15/20; *No Class: 3/18*
